Business strategy, information technology, and business-it alignment in some indonesian banks: a descriptive study – Laporan Akhir Penelitian

Research Objective: the objective of this study is to describe the condition of business strategy, IT capability and business-IT alignment in Indonesian banking
industry.
Research Method: Data collected from the questionnaire about business strategy, information technology, and IT-business alignment of banks are qualitative data. The source of data are CEO/CFO/CIO/CTO, Commissioner and some management staffs of banks associated with Perbanas. The questionnaires were distributed through online and offline and 41 respondents completed the distributed questionnaires. The distribution was conducted during June 2017—November 2017. This study was using descriptive technique. The data calculation was done using MS Excel application.
Result: the result showed that some companies in Indonesian banking industry had a strong business strategy, proper IT capability, and balanced business-IT alignment.
